Norma V. Batch

HURON – Norma V. Batch, 88, of Huron, passed away January 2, 2018 at Admiral’s Pointe Nursing and Rehab, Huron.

   She was born November 7, 1929 in Ontario, Canada.  She was a longtime resident of Huron and graduated from Huron High School in 1948.

   She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Huron, the Huron Garden Club, Habitat for Humanity, and the Archeology Club.

   She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.  She loved the woods and tending to her large collection of wildflowers.

   She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Batch; a son, Peter (Brenda) Batch; grandchildren, Shelley, Brian, Shawn, Andrew, Richard, Theodore, Robert, Olivia, and Sonya; 12 great grandchildren, and 14 nieces and nephews; 2 sisters, Marilyn (William) Enderle and Bernice (William) Hamler; a brother, Ed (Mary) Taylor; and sisters-in-law, Barb Daniels and Janice Abbey.

   Cremation has taken place.  

Friends may call Friday, Jan 12th from 1 p.m. until time of service 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church,225 Williams Street, Huron with Rev. Deborah Bowsher officiating.

   Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, Huron.
